Located opposite Porto Rotondo and Porto Cervo, this group of islands are classified as ‘TA’ areas, that is to say ‘places of remarkable naturalistic interest’, in the National Park of La Maddalena.
The beautiful island of Mortorio, whose surface reaches around 12 hectares, is characterised by stunning beaches and a beautiful cliff. The hinterland has a luxuriant vegetation, mainly consisting of Mediterranean scrub and brooms.
Not far from Mortorio, there is the small islet known as Soffi, with shallow waters and soft sand expanses. The most appealing area consists of the peculiar Piscine di Soffi, whose name reminds of the great resemblance to natural swimming pools surrounded by rocks. The island is often chosen for nesting by one of the rarest species in the world, Audouin’s gull.

The term Nibani refers to the islands which are very close to the beaches Piccolo and Grande Pevero, just south of Porto Cervo. They make a group of islets and rocks of rare beauty.
